Simon & Sons Bee Solutions (SS) is an innovative social enterprise established in 2008, and is committed to making a sustainable impact in developing the honey and Bees value chain in Kenya.
SS is headed by a CEO, who leads a team of specialists in apiary equipment manufacturing, and the production and processing of honey and other bee products, and apiculture training
SS has established and operates a beehive fabrication, bee suit stitching outfit with a capacity to produce 10,000 beehives a year, and 100 bee suits a week.

SS has put in place the technical capacity for:
- Designing and manufacturing beekeeping equipment,
- Disseminating modern beekeeping and bee treatment information,
- Establishing and managing demonstration apiaries for training ,
- Producing quality honey in commercial apiaries in selected areas around the country,
- Honey and other bee products processing and packaging.
Honey production in Kenya is dominated by the use of traditional log and Kenya Top Bar hives. SS in addition produces the Langstroth and Box beehives.
At a firm level, the primary objective of SS is to exploit Kenya’s potential for production of high quality bee products by large and small beekeepers and to make the Kenyan beekeeping industry sustainable.
Simon & Sons Bee Solutions is one of the largest suppliers of beekeeping equipment in Kenya. We supply commercial and hobbyist beekeepers throughout Kenya, East Africa and the Region.

We purchase Kenya beeswax and manufacture beeswax comb foundation, and sell an extensive range of quality beekeeping equipment, honey and bee products processing.
